WE'LL TACKLE ALL SANDBLASTING & EPOXY PROJECTS

ABRASIVE BLASTING (MOBILE UNITS)

Abrasive blasting the structural steel components of a ‘Wash Plant’ to a class 2.5 blast with 75um etch before priming with Sigmacover 280 and the application of coats of Amerlock 400 GF to a total DFT of 450um to supply a highly abrasive resistant coating system in a wet and aggregate abraded environment.

SEWERAGE PUMP STATION

This is a large sewerage pumping station that we fabricated and welded the HDPE liner for prior to the wet well being poured. We returned to fit fibre backed HDPE collars around the ductile iron penetrations where they came through the HDPE liner. The fabric backed HDPE is used so that the gap between the ductile iron and the plastic liner can be bridged using fibreglass matt and rosin or Megapoxy to give a fully sealed unit thus controlling the highly acidic sewerage gas.

HDPE PLASTIC LINER

This is a HDPE plastic liner fitted to the inner formwork of a manhole prior to the steel re-enforcing bars being installed, the outer formwork being set in place and the concrete being poured.

UNDERGROUND TANKS

This underground tank is being used to pump sea water directly from the ocean into salt water canals and requires a different protective coating as opposed to that used in a sewer rising main. In this case the concrete has been abrasive blasted to open the surface, a polymer modified cementitious render put over the inner to provide a smooth working service before priming and the application of 400um of Sigmaguard HS790 by airless spray. The picture shows the final coat of anti-foul being applied over a ‘barrier’ coat before the pump station goes on line.
